Two RAF Typhoon F1s demonstrate, in 2003, the ability to
take-off and accelerate rapidly to provide a high launch speed
for its weapons, in turn producing longer missile ranges and
shorter fly-out times. No 17 Squadron will be the first
front-line RAF squadron and a NATO declaration with FOC (Full
Operating Capability) is expected by the middle of the decade
