The aircraft rolled off to the side of the black stuff onto the grass at the very end of the landing and sunk into the sand that makes up that part of the extension of Sydney (Kingsford Smith) Airport into Botany Bay. Then things went from bad to worse. As the aircraft was being towed backwards, it snagged a rock just under the surface of the grass (now at the left of the nose wheel) and the call went out the groundies to bring shovels.
